Issue: Current Wet Cleaner is effective but costly. Customers would prefer to buy a product that utilizes a dry plasma etching process.
Project Objective: Develop a product whereby Water Vapor can be used in combination with a dry plasma etching process to remove photo-resist while preserving the dielectrics.

Using Business Excellence to Fix a Production Crisis
Issue: The manufacturing process used to produce this product is not well understood. During line transfer activities (to move production from one site to another), the production “recipe” was lost resulting in a significant drop in yield.
Project Objective: Determine the cause(s) of the drop in production yields and take appropriate actions to improve the yields to pre-move levels.

Issue: During surgical procedures, doctors call the customer support center to receive advice from RN’s regarding the use of the companies’ products. Recent auditing shows that inappropriate advice was provided in 10% of the cases.
Project Objective: Improve call accuracy to the corporate goal of 97.5%.
